Internal error

Well shucks – we’re really sorry, but something seems to have gone wrong on our end.

Please try again later, or contact us and let us know about this error.

In the meantime, here’s the jist:

When you’re alone or with friends:

  • Never touch any real gun if an adult isn’t there to teach and help you.
  • If you find a gun in a place you know it’s not supposed to be, tell an adult.
  • If another kid is touching a real gun, get away and tell an adult right away.

If your parents or another adult you can trust invite you to shoot a gun with them:

  • Treat all guns like they’re always loaded – we say, “all guns are always loaded”.
  • Never point a gun at anything it’s not safe to put a bullet hole in (like other people, parts of yourself, or buildings where there could be people)
  • Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you’ve decided to shoot.
  • Always wear good eye and ear protection when you’re near any shooting, even if you’re just watching somebody else shoot.
